Nash Metropolitan is a new design studio under the direction of Scott Nash. Located in Portland, Maine, we specialize in print design, strategic positioning, branding, and illustration.
Scott Nash´s successful work through Big Blue Dot for clients such as Nickelodeon, YTV, Microsoft, Hasbro, Parker Bros, Disney, Fox and PBS has proved his philosophy that strategic positioning is the keystone to any design solution.
His partnership with Scott Whitehouse has added a new perspective to the studio. A graduate of the Maine College of Art, Scott Whitehouse has already distinguished himself with his award winning design and work for such companies as StrideRite, Hugger Mugger, NFPA, and L.L. Bean. His innovative work coupled with his knowledge of contemporary culture only adds to the depth of the studio's thinking.
At Nash Metropolitan we firmly believe that positioning is not a scientific process, but a mix of research and intuition. We do not employ any one methodology, but carefully consider all angles of a design problem. The key to our design is understanding where a product fits competitively in the marketplace.
